Mi Casa Taco Truck Information

Pulling up to Mi Casa Taco Truck on W Hwy 74 in Indian Trail, the first thing that hits you is the lively, approachable vibe that feels just right for a casual bite. The truck itself is modest but colorful, drawing attention with hand-painted murals and a small queue of locals that instantly signals something worth trying. From the moment you step up to the window, the staff greets you with warm, friendly energy, ready to talk through the menu and offer recommendations if you’re undecided.

The menu is a celebration of classic Mexican street food with a few inventive twists. Tacos are the star here, served on soft, fresh tortillas with fillings ranging from tender carne asada to flavorful grilled chicken and even some vegetarian options like roasted cactus and seasoned mushrooms. Each taco is generously portioned, layered with fresh pico de gallo, tangy lime, and a subtle kick of heat from house-made salsas. Burritos and quesadillas are equally satisfying, packed with rice, beans, melted cheese, and your choice of protein, making them a hearty option for those with bigger appetites. Regulars often rave about the street-style elote-corn on the cob slathered in creamy, cheesy, and slightly spicy toppings-which pairs perfectly with a cold soda or horchata.

What really sets this truck apart is the sense of authenticity and care that goes into each dish. Ingredients taste fresh, the seasonings feel balanced rather than overwhelming, and the flavors carry the comforting familiarity of home-style Mexican cooking. Even on busy days when the line stretches out, the service remains prompt, with staff juggling orders efficiently while maintaining a personal touch, chatting with customers and making recommendations.

The atmosphere is casual and communal, with a few picnic tables nearby where friends and families gather, sharing tacos and laughter. What People's Say About Place

Loved the food! Tasted really good! I ordered a quesadilla and 3 tacos. Plus all the women that work there gorgeous!

I’ve tried a few times to order from this taco truck but they have been closed each time. The wait was worth it as I finally was able to try it. We ordered pastor and chicken tacos, vegetarian quesadilla and Mexican sausage burrito. The tacos are small without cheese but very tasty. Never having tasted Mexican sausage, we weren’t quite sure what to expect of the burrito, but found it to be smoky tasting and delicious. The quesadilla was cheese and peppers and so yummy! The server was super friendly. We paid $23 for all that we got which fed 3 of us. We will be back!

This is the best steak I’ve ever had for this type of cuisine! Extraordinarily flavorful! The shells on the taco salad are perfect and seemingly made from scratch. One of the sauces need a spice warning bc it was SO spicy but tasty. The papusa’s were fresh made to order from scratch and very flavorful. Everything inside and outside of the truck looked very clean and organized as well.

Good find, easy to get to. Friendly bilingual staff and food came out quick. Important to say for a food truck super clean!! The food it’s was good/ okay. I probably wouldn’t drive out my way to buy. The Sopes were soggy. Gave it 4 stars instead of 3 because what I ordered was vegetarian, I feel a real review will be once we order something with meat the way they ment it to be. But I normally can smell a good asado on these truck, but not this one.

the tacos were straight up delicious!!! The meat was juicy and flavorful! My favorite was beef tongue tacos. The tacos were kind of small which was like the street tacos we had in Mexico. Small but delicious !! There was no outdoor seating so we ate our food in the car. There were a lot of take out orders during the short time we were there and that’s how I know the place is really popular. They have a lot of other things on the menu that’s not tacos, I will come back and try them.

Tried the Beef tongue tacos for the first time and they were very good and seasoned well. Ingredients were fresh and I would highly recommend.

Amazing little taco truck. Al pastor tacos were insanely delicious and owner was super friendly. Very affordable. Have a few chairs to sit and wait for to go but no seating area for eating. Highly recommend!

Tiny taco truck. Chorizo is the way to go from the options we tried. My wife did not care for the chorizo so your results may vary. The carnitas were reportedly good though. My daughter liked the chicken tacos. Stay away from the carne asada. Mine had a big chunk of gristle. Chorizo fajita quesadilla was incredible. Chicken fajita burrito was HUGE and delicious. It has jalapeno in it so be aware if you don't like that kind of thing. I love it and it really complimented the burrito well which also had beans and queso. The menu is in English and Spanish, simple and the cashiers are super friendly. This place was packed at lunch time. It's right off of 74. I would certainly call this authentic. The tacos came with cucumber and radish slices garnished with lime wedges to squeeze.
